Turanic wheat belongs to the large group of hard wheats.  It is native to the Khorasan region (North-East of Iran), widespread in the Mediterranean Basin and also in Italy, it has been forgotten in modern times.

Prometeo di Urbino and the Azienda Agricola Mancini, in collaboration with the cereal expert agronomist Oriana Porfiri, have organized a production chain from seed to pasta.
